Not to mention the horrid impacts on the environment, and more food waste = increasing food costs. Huge thank you to The Saltiest Dog for making available what would've been a wastage product - and helping me save money on food for my boy! Nutrient-dense, cheap, and my boy LOVES it.

My recent rescue American Staffy cross gets to satisfy his need for crunchy things whilst still being kind to his stomach (new to bones, etc.) and making his meals is SUPER easy with these duck heads - no needing to cut it up or weigh each portion.

So glad to have found an affordable sardines for my big boy! He needs extra nourishment for his skin & other issues (recent rescue & malnourished but overweight...) so this has saved me so much money compared to all other stores I've found sardines at.

Holy moly are they BIG! & SO cheap compared to other raw food on the bone for dogs from pet stores or butchers (plus I never find hypoallergenic options which my boy needs). For my 36kg American Staffy cross, I've got 3-4 serves per neck = 9-12 serves (3 necks) = av. $1.94 per serve!

Both dogs love it. Great to give them something that is complete for when I'm feeling lazy. I also add it in as an addition to my own home made raw. My new favourite! Good price too

Paws down, whole frozen sardines are Chego's number one snack. I put two at a time into a paper lunch bag for him to take away, the bag gently in his mouth, settle on his outdoor bed, tear open the bag, and snack on the fish. He's been mad keen on them over the winter; I can only imagine that he'll be even more excited in warmer weather. And his coat has never felt so soft!

Our fur baby loved these, they were easy to separate, so we could give them with her meal.

So glad I tried the sampler pack because my 2 fussy dachshunds can be very unpredictable with food. I took notes with each option so that I knew what (if anything) to order. I was shook. They loved so many of the options and they generally hate anything other than plain raw meat and fish. The Saltiest Dog had everything I need and have spent literally YEARS searching for! Absolutely thrilled with the products and love the the option to donate meals to a shelter dog.

It's hard to find treats for my dog that hit the sweet spot between "gone in two bites" and "too good to eat; needs to be buried" but these duck heads seem to be it

He eats them frozen, like a horrifying duck-faced icypole, always starting beak first. I'm vegan - but these things bring so much happiness and enrichment to my 60kg boy; they're a regular feature in our fortnightly orders. The heads come in one solid frozen lump, so I break it up to portion them into containers before putting them in the freezer - making them much more convenient to access. I wouldn't want them to come individually portioned - it'd be too much packaging, and my dog has become pretty attached to supervising the process
